Become a Top Wedding Planner – 5 Ways to Stay on Track With Your 2011 Goals

The first quarter of 2011 is coming to a close, how are you doing with the goals you set for your wedding planning business this year? Have you stayed on track and reached your first quarter goals?

If you would like to do better in the next quarter, or if you haven’t taken the actions you needed to yet and haven’t reached any of your goals, here are 5 suggestions to get you going again:

1) Don’t beat yourself up if you are not exactly where you intended to be

It doesn’t do any good to get down on yourself about things you should have done, just decide to act differently from now on.

2) Review your goals and make sure they are still relevant and realistic for you

If you have had some life changes that you did not expect or if you now realize that it was unrealistic to make some of your goals because of other commitments, rewrite them so they are realistic and attainable for the life you have now.

3) Decide what actions you need to take in order to accomplish your goals

You may need to learn a new skill, be more organized, or give up time you spend elsewhere.

4) Schedule your action items

It’s difficult to reach goals if you do not make it a point of breaking up the action items into monthly, weekly and daily tasks and scheduling them on your calendar.

5) Recommit to being a successful wedding planner

Now that you have reset your goals and scheduled your action items, remind yourself how great it would be to have the wedding planning business of your dreams and recommit to doing the things you need to do to make it happen this year for you.
