Become a Top Wedding Planner – Destination Weddings in the Wine Country

I spent last weekend in the wine country here in Northern California and attended an event at the St. Francis Winery in Santa Rosa. I don’t usually blog about venues, but this is a beautiful location and they can accommodate weddings ceremonies and receptions of 150 to 200 guests.

If you are thinking about planning destination weddings, you might want to consider adding vineyards to your list of destinations. Of course, it’s best to visit the destinations that you represent before you plan weddings for your brides and grooms. So, arrange to visit the areas that you want to specialize in and set up meetings to get to know the wedding vendors in the areas. The websites of the local visitor and tourism bureaus can provide you with assistance. They have members listed on their websites who would be eager to partner with you and provide you with the information you need to share with your clients.

If you want to work in the Napa and Sonoma wine countries in Northern California, do your research on some of their websites such as the Napa Valley Conference and Visitors Bureau , Sonoma County Tourism Bureau, and the Santa Rosa Convention and Visitors Bureau and find vendors to meet while on your trip.

If you want to find out more about other destinations, do a web search for the “convention and visitors bureau” or “tourism office” in the specific city or country you desire.
