Become a Top Wedding Planner – Get Inspiration for a Casino Themed Wedding from “My Fair Wedding”

The new season of WEtv’s My Fair Wedding started last night with David Tutera taking a bride’s Las Vegas style, casino-themed wedding ideas to another level. The bride had planned a red, black and white color scheme with playing cards, dice and feathers as decorations.

David upgraded the Vegas casino to a Monte Carlo casino theme, changing the wedding party’s attire, venue and decorations all along the way. You and your brides might not have the budget to change the whole look and feel of a wedding in three weeks, like David does, but some of design decisions he made may help you to plan your bride’s wedding in new ways.

Here are examples of what took place:

  • Red, the color of love, filled the ballroom. The dance floor, lighting and table linens were all red.
  • Accents were crystal candelabras, chairs covered with a black and white print and gold chargers, votive candle holders and beads draped on the candelabras.
  • The main flowers were red roses, 12,000 were used at the venue.
  • The brides and bridesmaids’ bouquets were all red. The bride’s bouquet also had bling, the flowers were accented with bouquet jewelry.
  • Guests had cocktails before the ceremony. Then they were each given a candle and walked into the ballroom for the ceremony, they were part of the procession.
  • Guests stood on either side of the aisle as the wedding party entered

  • The stage for the orchestra was also the “altar” where the couple got married.

  • As soon as the bride and groom kissed, the lights and music changed and the ceremony turned into the reception.
  • The wedding cake was casino themed in red, black and white.

WEtv and the vendors cover the costs for the six-figure event, not something most brides can get so if you have a bride who wants a casino theme, just take ideas from this show.
