Become a Top Wedding Planner – Market Your Business at Holiday Parties


The holidays will be here soon and you will probably be seeing friends and relatives whom you don’t normally see during the rest of the year.  You need to be prepared to talk about your new wedding planning business when people ask, “What have you been up to these days?”

Here are 3 things to do when you are asked that question:

1) Talk with enthusiasm and confidence about being a wedding planner

When you share your passion, people will be excited for you and want to help you succeed.

2) Explain the benefits of your services

Many people have the perception that wedding planners are an extra expense and that brides don’t get to make their own choices when they hire a planner. Make sure you are prepared to briefly explain how you can help a couple and give an example from a wedding you have planned.

3) Offer your business cards

If the listener says they know of someone who could use your services, offer them two of your business cards, one to keep and one they can give out.

Of course, show interest in what others are doing also and be willing to listen and give referrals, if appropriate.
