I blogged about stealing wedding planning ideas from celebrity weddings in my last post and today I have more.  The February 2009 issue of InStyle magazine has an article about four 2008 celebrity weddings that will give you more ideas for the weddings that you plan.  Here are some of them:

• Two-tiered red velvet cake

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz

• Alice in Wonderland, black and red theme

• Instead of an aisle runner, rose petals lined the aisle

• Signature cocktail at the reception

• Wedding cake was three cakes in one: red velvet, pound cake and cake with Snickers candy bars, the groom’s favorite

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

• Beach wedding in the Bahamas

• The aisle runner was a white carpet that lead to the edge of the water

• Wedding cake had 24 carat gold leaf decoration

Joy Bryant and David Pope

• Bouquet looked like flowers were collected from a garden

• The groom wore a Hawaiian maile lei, a symbol of good luck

• Instead of a wedding cake there were 200 cupcakes two towers in red velvet, chocolate and vanilla flavors

• Guests were asked to donate to the couple’s favorite charity in lieu of gifts
