Become a Top Wedding Planner – Pink and Purple Tea Party Theme Ideas from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

None of the women of the television show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” plan weddingsbut one of them gave her four-year-old daughter an over-the-top birthday party with a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” theme that may inspire you. Many brides like this Alice in Wonderland tea party theme for their weddings but it can also be used for bridal showers and bridesmaids’ luncheons. Or, take the pink and purple color palette and use it in other themes.

Here are some details and photos from this birthday party along with their costs, as stated on the show:

The event took place outdoors at the Houdini Estate in the Hollywood Hills ($10,000 rental fee). The main colors were shades of pink and purple which were carried out in the draping, linens, glassware, china and even the food and beverage. (This was an excellent example an event that followed through on color and theme.)

Since it was a tea party, the menu was like that of a high tea with sandwiches, scones and mini desserts (sandwiches and drinks, adults were given champagne, were $4500, desserts $2200).

The hostess had invited 25 girls and 35 adults. Each guest had a place setting with pink or lavender linens and elegant china and glassware (something similar would work well for a bridesmaids’ luncheon). Party rental from Classic Party Rentals ran $19,000.

Flowers overflowed from china teacups and there were arrangements of floral teapots pouring flowers into teacups made of flowers. Flowers were designed by Sky Flowers. ($6,000)

The hostess hired a well-known party planner to help her with all of the arrangements ($12,000).
