Become a Top Wedding Planner – Quit the “Ain’t it Awful” Club to Realize Your Dreams

Are you friends with other wedding planners and business people who are positive and successful? Or are you friends with people who are negative and always talk about how bad everything is; the economy, the government, their last clients, and so forth?

Did you know that you become like the people you spend the most time with?

Today, I happened to hear Jack Canfield, co-creator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and author of a book on success principles, interviewed on the radio. He spoke of how people need to get out of the “ain’t it awful” club in order to be successful and realize their dreams.

Here are 5 of Jack’s success tips:

1) Spend time with successful people

2) Ask them to share success strategies then adapt them to your life, if you think they would work for you

3) Study, read, go to classes taught by people who have the type of success that you want

4) Go to places where positive, successful people go – this isn’t just business networking events. In his book he talks about a successful entrepreneur who went to the sauna every night because successful people were there telling of their successes and failures.

5) It’s normal to have challenges and difficulties, just never give up.

Take a look at who you surround yourself with. Sometimes some members of our families and some wedding vendors and business contacts are not the best people to be with all of the time. You need people with positive attitudes who have a genuine interest in your success. Otherwise, your attitude can become negative and you will start to believe you can’t be the successful wedding planner that you want to be.
