Are you marketing your wedding planning business right now or are you thinking, “. . . it’s too cold (or, depending where you are, too hot),  it’s too wet, I’m busy with the holidays, everyone is busy with the holidays, couples are getting engaged right now but I’ll wait until after the holidays to catch them . . .”

Ok, it may be cold, or hot, and wet, and it is the holiday season but you can’t stop marketing right now because of it, especially since it is engagement season. You need to “show up”, stay in front of people and let people know what you can do for them in order to be successful. I’m not suggesting standing in front of a jewelry store handing out business cards. What I’m suggesting is that you keep blogging and staying busy on the social media sites. Also, keep talking about your wedding planning business with the people you see.

During the holiday season, you might come across many more people than you do during the rest of the year. Be sure to let them know you have started your business. People love hearing about weddings so share some of your memorable successes with them. Then they’ll remember to refer you when, after the holidays, someone tells them, “I just got engaged.”
