Become a Top Wedding Planner – Steal Ideas from the Television Show "Rich Bride Poor Bride"

Wedding Planners Help Couples Manage Their Budget

on “Rich Bride Poor Bride”

A big part of your job as a wedding planner is helping a couple stick to their wedding budget. You can watch how experienced planners do this in the WeTV show, Rich Bride Poor Bride.

In the episode shown on Sunday, a planner was faced with a groom who wanted a flashy, over-the-top memorable wedding and was willing to “pay to play”, and his bride, who invited 550 people, wanted a simple, classy wedding that stuck to the budget.

The wedding planner was able to stop the groom from hiring an elephant procession, which is often used at Indian weddings, at the cost of $4000. She brought the couple a budget friendly alternative which still had a “wow” factor, an ornate rickshaw. And she was able to help the couple organize their wedding and make sure things they decided to handle themselves, like creating centerpieces, were completed. However, she was not able to stop the groom from going over budget because he hired a magician, at $5000, for entertainment for telling either the planner or the bride!
