Become a Top Wedding Planner – What to Do If You Are Feeling Distracted and Tired



The process of planning weddings, working with brides to help them have one of the happiest days of their lives is fun, high energy work. But this last week I noticed that wedding planners I’m working with, and other people in my life, felt restless, distracted, had trouble concentrating on their work and generally felt tired. I also felt somewhat the same, did you?

I thought it might have been due to the change to daylight saving time. Then a friend sent me an email with a message written by a psychologist that basically explained we could be feeling bad because the disasters in Japan sent a heavy feeling of sadness and loss throughout the world. On top of that, we have seen images on television and the Internet over and over again that reinforces those feelings and makes it hard for us to concentrate.

So if you didn’t feel like your normal, upbeat, energetic self last week, know that the disasters in the world could be the reasons why. If they were, here are some actions you can take to help yourself feel better:

  • Send positive thoughts or offer prayers to the people of Japan
  • If you feel moved to donate financially, contact an organization such as For Japan With Love, Red Cross, Save The Children or World Vision
  • Take some time to appreciate the people and things in your life
  • Take a break and allow yourself to do something fun and positive

Taking some time to relax will help you have more energy and be in a more positive frame of mind to work with your brides.
