Marketing Your Wedding Planning Business – Don't Make This Mistake

Wedding Planner Juggles Multiple=

Are you a wedding planner and running a few other businesses also?  When many planners start their business, they don’t go full time right away.  That’s fine, but brides don’t need to know that when they come to your website or read any of your marketing material.

The other day I was surfing the Internet, looking at websites of different wedding planners.  I came across one planner who had information and links to her other, non wedding-related businesses, on her site.  A couple of reasons why this is a bad idea:

  • A bride wants a professional planner who can devote attention to her.  If she sees that you are also juggling three or four other types of businesses, she will believe you will not be able to focus on her.
  • You do not want anyone clicking on a link and leaving your website because they probably won’t come back.

If you have other businesses, give each it’s own website, don’t appear like a Jack or Jill of all trades and master of none.

By the way, I hope you are not planning weddings if you do not have the time to focus on a bride and her needs.  This is very detailed work that demands a lot of attention.  Don’t take on anything that you don’t have the time and energy to do in an excellent way.
