Fabulous Wedding and Event Planner Conference

Wedding planners, new and experienced, get the best new ideas on planning weddings and running their businesses from attending industry conferences. I just received information on one taking place in early 2009.

The Special Event

January 27-30, 2009

San Diego Convention Center

San Diego, California

This is an annual conference produced by The Special Event magazine. There are educational sessions taught by some of the top professionals in the industry, an exhibitor showcase where you’ll see the latest in event trends and plenty of showcase events that will inspire you and give you opportunities to network with your peers. Every time I’ve gone I’ve picked up new ideas, made new friends and gotten re-energized about my business.

The conference has different educational “tracks”, such as, “Food Services, “Design, “Sales and Marketing” and “Wedding Trends”. You can take all of the classes from one track and become an expert in the area or you can take a variety of classes.

To find out more about the “Wedding Trends” track, go to http://thespecialeventshow.com/specialevent2009/Public/Calendar.aspx?TrackID=76.

If you can’t attend, at least get a subscription to the magazine at http://specialevents.com/ and get a subscription. It is well worth reading for its articles by industry professionals and inspiring tips and ideas.
