Wedding Planning Ideas – How to Capture All of Them

Do you get the best wedding planning ideas as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, or while walking your dog, in the car, all sorts of places where you don’t have a pen and paper handy? So do I. I have found that the best way to make sure I capture all of my creative ideas is with a MP3 recorder and a digital voice recorder. I have a small MP3 recorder that I clip to my clothes during the day and leave on my night stand every night. As soon as I have an idea, I push the button and talk into it. Once a day I’ll upload the information into my laptop and transcribe what I say into a Word document. The MP3 recorder is also a player so I can use it at the gym to hear music in addition to recording ideas.

If you need something that lets you record for longer lengths of time, get a digital voice recorder that you can wear on a lanyard around your neck. You can use it in the same way as an MP3 recorder and to record meetings and classes, if it is legal, because they can store hundreds of hours of recordings. Some digital voice recorders do not have the ability to play music so select carefully if this is important to you.

If you are someone who likes to dictate a lot of notes and ideas but doesn’t want to be bothered by having to transcribe it all later, there are services you can subscribe to that help you. With one of these services, such as CopyTalk, you call them, dictate into your phone and they will e-mail the notes to you a short time later. There is a monthly charge so don’t invest unless you plan to make good use of the service.

If there are any electronic gadgets you cannot live without, please leave me comments.
