Wedding Planning – Wedding Aisle Runners

Some wedding planners don’t like the use of aisle runners in their weddings. They find them difficult to unroll, a safety hazard because someone could trip if it moves or someone could put a high heel through it. Also, if the aisle runner is white, the bride’s gown will not stand out against it, especially in photographs.

Their complaints are legitimate. However, there are ways to avoid these problems if your bride wants to use an aisle runner. In fact, runners can be elegant additions to wedding ceremonies. Of course, I’m not referring to the inexpensive runners that can be found at party stores or the white ones that most houses of worship own. I’m referring to the high-quality ones that you can get from companies that specialize in wedding aisle runners. They make them in a variety of colors and patterns and can even custom make them with the designs, monograms or sayings of a bride’s choice. They are all made with non-skid backings to minimize the chances of accidents.

If you are planning an outdoor wedding, you might want to forget the runner, because of the uneven ground, and instead sprinkle flower petals along the border of the aisle.
